Import/Export Data
Employees can be imported and exported using the Import Employees and Export employees options. Importing employees like this is faster and less error prone than adding them one at a time with the Add Employee button.
The format for importing employees is comma seperated values, or CSV. All fields must be present, if a field should not have a value leave it blank.
An easy way to get the fields lined up correctly for import is to export from your existing system to CSV, and then option the file with a spreadsheet application. Most spreadsheet applications are able to work with comma seperated values. Move the columns around until they match what TixTime requires, then export the file as CSV and copy/paste that data into TixTime.
Payroll
Payroll can be exported on a day-by-day basis. Icons are used to show the status of each day in the Payroll Calendar:
No activity
Incomplete/In Progress
Calculated/Unapproved
Approved
Timesheets with No Activity have no need to be exported to payroll.
A timesheet changes to the No Activity status as soon as an employee has started work that day.
Once a day is finished the 'Calculate' button should be clicked to sum all payroll hours, subtract breaks if unpaid, and complete the day. If any employees have not been timed out of the system Calculate will throw an error.
Once a timesheet has been calculated it will show as Calculated and Unapproved. The Approve button should be clicked, then the payroll can be downloaded/exported and sent to the payroll software for processing.
Reports
Reports can be run to show different data that is otherwise unavailable. Custom reports can be delivered through consulting services from TixTime.
Select a report, select any date ranges or other inforamtion the report requires, and select your output format. The report will be provided in the selected format.
